The Founder and Chief Executive of Fashpa is widely credited with bringing fashion online to Africa’s mobile phones. Honey Ogundeyi is an entrepreneur with a career spanning over 15 years across various industries ranging from management consulting, luxury fashion & ecommerce. She is a key figure that has led the transformation of Africa’s fashion e-commerce space by providing a full-service platform for African consumers to access global fashion online.
Honey was previously industry manager at Google, where she led the development and growth of their commercial business. Before joining Google, she worked at Ericsson as Head of Brand Management for Sub Saharan Africa and prior to that worked in consulting at McKinsey & Company in Brussels and Johannesburg.
In 2014, Ogundeyi combined her interest in fashion and technology to launch Fashpa.com, an integrated online marketplace supporting and promoting the access for consumers in emerging markets to global & emerging fashion brands. In 2018, Fashpa was selected by Farfetch, the leading global technology platform for luxury fashion, as part its accelerator for companies shaping the future of global commerce.
Ogundeyi and Fashpa have received numerous accolades and she is frequently invited to speak as a leader in Africa’s technology sector. In 2018 Honey was invited as a keynote speaker at the World Bank Spring Meetings and also appointed to Facebook’s Africa Council. In 2016 She was listed by the World Economic Forum as one of the top 10 innovators in Africa. In 2014 & 2016 She has was listed by Forbes as one of the Top 10 women emerging entrepreneurs to watch in Africa. She has also been recognised as a One Young World Ambassador, a Junior Achievement Nigeria Ambassador and mentors and leads various women in technology initiatives.
