ariam is Senior Program Manager at DoniLab, a Mali-based Business Incubator that works with start-ups across a wide of range of sectors including agriculture, health, services, and robotics. She leads the Mali Startup Act movement and is currently working with the local ecosystem leaders and the government to implement incentive frameworks for the creation and growth of startups in Mali.
Mariam has a background in development consulting and previously worked at CrossBoundary Mali office, preparing private sector companies in the agriculture and health sectors to be investment-ready and subsequently raising capital for them on the regional and international markets. She also served as Country Director of OKO, an innovative start-up developing crop insurance solutions using satellite and mobile technologies for smallholder farmers in emerging markets.
Mariam is passionate about the role of innovative entrepreneurship in fostering sustainable growth in West Africa.
