Kwame Aidoo (b. 1986) is a writer, cultural manager and artist from Ghana with a BSc biochemistry and biotechnology from KNUST and MOOC Managing the Arts: Cultural Organizations in Transition. He is inspired by West African oral folklore, polyrhythms and symbolism and explores the use of literature, science, community and art to solve social issues globally. He has performed and/or shown work at Manifesta 12 – Palermo (2018), Chale Wote – Accra (2014-2017), Prem Arts – Berlin(2017-2018), Nasjonalmuseet – Oslo(2016), FLUPP – Rio(2015), among others. He is the author of Ananse Makes Aurora and his piece The Tale of Busy Body Bee was long-listed for the 2014 Golden Baobab children’s literature awards. His work has been published in several poetry journals and culture websites including The Culture Trip and Music In Africa. He is the founder of Inkfluent, organizer of Nkabom Festival and co-founder of Buzanga Books.
