Albert Antwi-Boasiako

Albert Antwi-Boasiako is the National Cybersecurity Advisor to the Government of Ghana and is responsible for the implementation of Ghana’s National Cyber Security Policy & Strategy (NCSPS). Albert is a Cybercrime/Electronic Evidence Expert with the Council of Europe’s GLACY+ Project and a member of Interpol Global Cybercrime Expert Group (IGCEG). He is also the Founder of e-Crime Bureau, the first cyber security and digital forensics firm to be established and operate in West Africa.

Albert has previously conducted cyber security related consulting and research for a number of international and local organizations including the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC), United Nations Conference on Trade & Development (UNCTAD), Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), Commonwealth Cybercrime Initiative (CCI) of the Commonwealth Secretariat, Global Commission on Internet Governance (GCIG)/Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and Inter-Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa (GIABA), amongst others.

Albert is an Adjunct Lecturer with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) where he has been lecturing on cybercrime, cybersecurity and cyberterrorism for the past five years. He is also a Faculty Member at the Ghana Police Command and Staff College (GPCSC), Winneba.

Albert recently participated as a speaker in the Forum on Internet Freedom in Africa 2018 (FIFAfrica 2018) organized in Accra. He also represented the Freedom Online Coalition during an Informal Information Session at the event.
