Marvin Coleby is a venture lawyer and Founder of Raise, a blockchain company building the first tokenized impact exchange to democratize private investments in emerging market companies. Marvin is an advocate for blockchain’s potential in emerging markets with a focus on Africa, Asia and the Caribbean. He co-founded a blockchain venture studio that led research and development initiatives for blockchain innovation throughout emerging markets in real estate, capital markets and governance. Prior to these roles, Marvin worked as a lawyer the Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies group of Dentons, the largest international law firm in the world. Marvin previously worked at the United Nations Education Scientific and Cultural Organization, consults governments on innovation strategies and is an advocate for blockchain’s potential to create social impact.
