A genre-bending performance fusing video, live poetry recital and collected sounds. Navigating elbow rooms provided by history, myth making and social commentary, Kwame Write unearths the map consolidating the musical and mystical connections linking water bodies, Black bodies and vibrations.
Description
To create an ambience that will bridge routes and relationships between our shared and interconnected histories, geographies and sociopolitical realities, Kwame uses abstract video with collected sounds and a live recital in Queue to the Tap Dance. A conceptual, dynamic and artistic window interrogating our sense of place with respect to the middle passage, migration politics and water biology for rethinking culture, collective memory, Afrofuturism and mythology.
Open to all age groups.
