You did it: We’re absolutely thrilled about the numerous submissions for our first re:publica in Accra! The Call for Participation for our first Ghanaian conference has ended. That means…

…after the call is before the #rpAccra!

Our curator team will be looking through your ideas for talks, panels, workshops, installations, exhibitions, performances and more over the coming weeks and get in touch with you soon. We and our main partner, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), are more than excited about who will be up on our re:publica stage in Accra in the categories of Politics & Society, Art & Culture, Business & Innovation, Science & Education, and Media & Journalism.

“Compact with Africa”

High-ranking visitor in Accra: Last week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel paid a call to Ghana’s capital and underscored Germany’s support for expanding infrastructure, industrialisation and rural development in Ghana. Digitisation naturally plays a big role in this context, which is why Merkel and German Development Minister Müller visited young start-up entrepreneurs as well as our re:publica Accra team on location in the Impact Hub Accra towards the end of their visit.
