Mukhtara Yusuf is a yoruba-nigerian-muslim visual artist, scholar and designer. Her work focuses on new design approaches for sustainable and healthier African futures. As a multi-displinary creative she is interested in how, often over-looked, historical practices of African societies, can be used in combination with new technology to solve contemporary issues. She is a firm believer in collaborative community building and culturally responsive design.
