Hanson Akatti

The digital arts scene in Ghana has evidently seen a growth over the last couple of years. One of the major names that has helped shape the growing art form is Hanson Akatti.

Born on January 21st 1989 in Accra, Ghana, Hanson’s artworks which have been described as "whimsical yet pseduo-realistic looking," are influenced by comics, film, music and urban culture.

Hanson’s earlier works such as the school boy, changed the face of digital art and animation in the country.

His work has graced the covers and pages of magazines such as Canoe, Dust and A.20. Hanson’s artwork has been influential in transforming the direction of album arts in Ghana. His brilliant work for DJ Juls’, Fokn Bois, EL and Efya has been a determining factor for the effort now ascribed to album artworks in Africa.

Hanson Akatti, is a force in the art direction in Ghana.
