Emmanuel is the Managing Editor of the online news site Ghana Business News which he started in 2008. He is also the Executive Director of NewsBridge Africa, a not-for-profit media training and advocacy organisation which he started in 2014, soon after returning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. The two entities are based in Accra, Ghana.  At Ghana Business News, he manages and edits the website which is a partner of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and the Norbert Zongo Centre for Investigative Journalism (CENOZO). In his role at NewsBridge Africa he designs and delivers media skills training for journalists and communication skills and communication strategy development for Executives of CSOs and politicians. He trains citizen journalists in investigation, writing and verification skills, in partnership with organisations like Think Africa Institute, the World Bank, the West Africa Civil Society Institute, the International Republican Institute and the Media Foundation for West Africa.

Emmanuel’s career in journalism spans 28 years, and he is a Knight-Bagehot Fellow in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University in the City of New York, USA.

Emmanuel recently worked with a team of 13 journalists from 11 West African countries on the ground-breaking investigation known as West Africa Leaks which was coordinated by ICIJ and CENOZO. West Africa Leaks is the largest ever journalism collaboration in the region.

Emmanuel has covered the African continent and written extensively about business, economics, development, environment and politics.
