I am a freelance journalist with a Master in European Politics and a PhD in International Relations. The topic of my thesis was the use of Internet as an information source as early as 2005. I have always tried to focus on the field where international and digital communication meet, taking this as far as I possibly could in my different work through time as a journalist (Ciberpaís, Revista5W.com, Eldiario.es...), communications advisor (Spanish Ministry of Science/Education) and teacher (Associate Professor of IR at Complutense University in Madrid). I give classes on digital verification to several Spanish associations and news companies and published the book “Digital verification for journalists: a handbook against fakes and international disinformation”. Recently I earned an advanced certificate on OSINT and I am continually asking myself how many more things I still need to discover. Coming to Accra to speak and learn from you all.
